When it comes to getting a little extra flutter, false eyelashes and mascara are no longer the only options. The new wave of enhancements is all about eyelash extensions.

Eyelash extensions are applied by specially trained beauty therapists like myself. Individual semi permanent imitation lashes are carefully applied to your existing lashes.

You can either choose a full set of a half set/infill treatment. Full sets takes about an hour and a half to apply. During a full set treatment a false lash is applied to each of your existing lashes, roughly 80 to 100 of them. Alternatively you can get a half-set for a more natural look or to infill an old full set treatment.

Before and after of eyelash extensions

Eyelash extensions close up

When we meet for your eyelash extension treatment, we will discuss what you want - how long your lashes should be, how thick, and even what kind of curl. During application your eyes will be protected and closed. You shouldn't feel any discomfort or pain.

Your eyelash extensions should last 8 to 12 weeks if you take care of them. Eyelash extensions will slowly drop off as your eyelashes naturally shed, you'll roughly lose about 12-15 lashes every 2 to 3 weeks.

After getting your lash extensions, the adhesive is still setting for 24 hours - so don't touch them or get them wet. You shouldn't need mascara when you have eyelash extensions, but if you do choose to use a product on or near your lashes, please ensure they are oil-free.

Frequently asked questions about eyelash extensions

What are individual Eyelash extensions?

Individual Eyelash Extensions are semi-permanent eyelash extensions comprised of individual synthetic eyelashes that are virtually weightless and curved to replicate a natural eyelash. They are applied to individual eyelashes, one extension at a time, for a natural, elegant look to lengthen and add fullness to the existing lashes. They are water resistant so you can still shower and swim without worrying.

Why choose individual Eyelash extensions?

Most women choose individual eyelash extensions to lengthen their natural lashes while others want their lashes to look fuller. A number of women with naturally light coloured lashes choose eyelash extensions to darken their existing lashes. Individual eyelash extensions can create a younger appearance, making the eyes look brighter, more open and rested, thereby creating a more youthful and rejuvenated look. They will give you the appearance of having put significant effort into your eye makeup when, in reality, you spent no time at all. The added benefit is that they look beautiful morning and night, all day, everyday- They are perfect for special occasions, holidays or simply for day to day wear.

How much are your Eyelash extensions?

My prices are-

£65.00- Full set
£40.00- Half set
£35.00- Infills

How are the Extensions applied?

Your natural eyelashes are isolated with very fine tweezers, the eyelash extension is then dipped into the adhesive and placed onto one isolated natural eyelash. This is then repeated onto the rest of your lashes until the lashes are fully covered. The treatment is relaxing and painless, it normally takes between one and a half to two hours and is done while your eyes are closed.

How long do Eyelash extensions normally last?

Individual eyelash extensions normally last around 3-4 weeks, a real eyelash cycle is normally around 25-28 days so your natural lashes will fall out gradually during this time, taking the eyelash extension with them. At this point your eyelashes will be ready to be infilled.

How will I know if they suit me?

I have a range of Eyelash lengths and thickness so I can create the look that you want, whether its ultra long and glam or natural.

Do I still have to wear Mascara?

You won't need too. You will roll out of bed looking great and the best thing of all is it will make your eyelashes look like you're wearing mascara 24/7. If you want you too can still wear mascara on your bottom lashes and wear the rest of your make up as usual.

How do I look after my eyelash extensions?

For the first 12 hours you need to avoid getting the eyelashes wet to allow the glue to completely dry, also please do not use a sauna or steam room for the first 48 hours to allow the glue to cure. After then, try to avoid touching or pulling at your new lashes as this will pull out your own natural lashes. Do not use make-up remover that contains oils around the eyes, the best eye make-up remover to use is Simple face wipes, to wipe the make up off around your eyes. Also try to sleep on your sides or back to avoid crushing your eyelashes into the pillow. The golden rule for wearing eyelash extensions is the less you touch them the longer they will last!

What should I expect when you come to visit me?

I will bring everything I need with me, and can set up and pack away within minutes. All I require is a room with good lighting and space to set up my beauty bed.
